Description
The FLEX2 CCR is robust, compact exploration rebreather. The unit was designed from the ground up as a sidemount CCR. It can also be used as a bail-out rebreather.
The FLEX2 is a fully self-contained unit. Scrubber, electronics and counterlungs are all enclosed in a virtually indestructible cylinder about the size of AL80. Clip it on, plug in the diluent and oxygen gases and dive it. It can be easily donned or doffed underwater.
The plenum/scrubber can is located at the bottom of the unit. The plenum can is 14.5 inches/37cm tall with 5.5 lbs/ 2.5kg radial scrubber inside.
The FLEX2 has two 3D counterlungs contained in the fenestrated case above the can and sensor head with electronics. Each counterlung has 3 liters to ensure sufficient tidal volume.
The FLEX2 can be configured with either a BOV, DSV, or a special sidemount DSV. All mouthpieces use custom 90 degree bayonet hose adapters.
The FLEX2 CCR comes configured with an ADV (Automatic Diluent Valve) in the top lid of the unit. Diluent MAV (Manual Add Valve) and Oxygen MAV facilitate on demand gas additions by diver.
The FLEX2 unit is standardly equipped with Shearwater DiveCAN Petrel3 Controller on the left or right hand and with DiveCAN Head-Up Display placed on the BOV, DSV, or a special sidemount DSV.
Optionally can be DiveCAN Head-Up Display replaced with DiveCAN or analog Petrel3 Monitor (as a secondary computer) or DiveCAN or analog NERD.
User serviceable low power Solenoid from AISI 316 Stainless steel rated for up to 17 bar (no pressure setting of the 1st stage needed), with swivel fitting with built-in O2-filter.
Every unit is tested to 150m before it leaves the factory.
